Windows 7 Pro 64bit  - network error on boot
I've search high and low for an answer. So far all solutions haven't fixed the problem. I have updated my network drivers to the latest windows 7 variant. At present, I have to disable the network adaptor and reenable it before it connects to the Internet. I was using Vista Ultimate 64bit prior to the upgrade and had no issues for since installation back in Feb 09. Motherboard in question: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Any suggestions? Cheers

Hi there, Have you disabled the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option for your network adapter? The option is located in the device manager. Also, it would be great if you could post what solutions you have tried so we know what to suggest. Cheers

Hi Yep, first thing after install was to disable all hardware which saves power. Network adaptor(s): Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Solutions tried in following order: 1) disable/reenable network adaptor (works until reboot) 2) remove network adaptor and allow Windows to install it's own (didn't work) 3) download and install Asus Win7 64bit drivers (didn't work) 4) download and install Asus Vista 64bit drivers (didn't work - suggestion from another forum) 5) install Asus Win7 64bit drivers (put back to previous non-working solution) 6) download and install Marvell Win7 64bit drivers (didn't work) I have a second drive with WinXP - it has no connection issues when booted up (hot plug swap in same rig). Cheers Edit: Well, it seems after installing Kaspersky and disabling the windows firewall, it's now working... Could it have been that simple?
